Witney Festival of Food & Drink (WFOFAD) 25

The Witney Festival of Food and Drink , or WFOFAD as it is fondly known, is an annual charitable community event showcasing local artisan food and drink.
The Witney Festival of Food and Drink returns on Saturday 17th May 2025 at the beautiful medieval Saint Mary’s Church, and on Church Green running from 10:00am to 5:00pm. 60+ Stalls, street food, live music, family activities, local group displays, and a festival bar & café means a fun day out for food lovers and all the family! 

What to expect

  • A community festival of 60+ stalls run by local volunteers 
  • Local artisan food stalls selling selling bread, cakes, cheese, sauces, pies, pancakes, meats, fruit & vegetables beer, wine, and cider, to name a few.
  • Regional drink producers of cider and beer and spirits such as artisan gin
  • A Food Hall selling locally produced street foods such as paella and pizza 
  • Live music tent keeping festival goers entertained throughout the day
  • Children’s and family activities including a chocolate workshop 
  • Performance Arena on Church Green with displays by local drama, gymnastics and martial children clubs 
  • Pop up café hosted by local coffee UE
  • A Festival Bar provisioned with local craft beers and ciders
  • A large fun fair taking place the same day, next door on The Leys. 
  • A fun day out for food lovers and all the family!

Frequently Asked Visitor Questions

  • Is there an entrance fee? Yes, festival-goers pay £3 for a ticket, with all funds raised going to charity
  • Do children pay? Children under the age of 12 and accompanied by parents are free
  • Are dogs allowed? Unfortunately, due to health and hygiene regulations, we cannot permit dogs at WFOFAD as food is being sold.
  • How many stall holders are there? 67 stalls booked for WFOFAD 2024
  • Can I smoke? No smoking or vaping is allowed inside St Mary's
  • Who organises the Festival? WFOFAD is organised by the Parish of Witney Reg Charity #1129784. We all volunteer our time for free.
  • What happens to funds raised by the event?  Monies raised by the festival go towards the Parish of Witney, which has responsibility for the maintenance and renewal of St Mary's so that our town's ancient House of Prayer can be preserved for future generations.
